Complete the lesson G045.2 Wax on Wax Off before doing this performance skill assessment. Make sure you have spent plenty of time practicing the pen tool before attempting the MAZE!
INSTRUCTIONS
Use the template guide below to trace the entire maze.
Entire Maze must be done in ONE CONTINUOUS PATH.
An open (broken) path can not be filled so you must learn the importance of making sure all your points are connected within the shape or object. To Test: If you use the black selection tool and click on the path, it should select the entire maze, not just a portion of it.
FEWER POINTS = BETTER / SMOOTHER PATH - Don't "cheat" by adding extra points that you don't need to make a curve. Only two points make a curve. Add points only where the curve changes direction.
2 POINT ARCHES - Arch (or loop) curves technique. Repeating arches also need to be made with ONLY 2 POINTS one at each base of the arch.
This requires use of the OPTION key to swing the control handle up as shown in the tutorial (Mac Lab Video #12). Don't cheat by adding an un-needed 3rd point at the peak of the arch.
